CONTEST ONE
Revelation 21:4 KJV
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes…
Isaiah 25:8 KJV
He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces…
These scriptures were shared by a Brother in one of our Radio prayer services. It prompted me to pause this contest (challenge) before the audience: and this is the challenge:
God Himself Shall Wipe Away Their Tears from off their faces
Tears, many tears, what are these tears… Think of some of the tears to be wiped… the tears that God Himself will wipe from your own face.
A few things to contemplate on as you think about what tears are that God is to wipe off your face:
What are tears?
✓Tears are an outward sign of an inward state or condition that weighs upon the heart… so the sign only points to the real thing. So, the real tears are within the heart.
Two types of tears:
✓The condition causing tears can be positive or negative, but more are negative causes than positive, but whether positive or negative tears, all will be wiped off the faces of saints. Tears of joy are positive; tears of being relieved from the burden of sin is a positive tear. Tears of sorrow are a negative tear. The negative tears are many times more profitable than positive ones.
Tears can be profitable or unprofitable:
✓Tears can be profitable or unprofitable depending on the victim’s inclinations, spiritual, natural or carnal apprehensions. The children of Israel cried because of being fed on manna every day. That is an example of a carnal tear. The sons of Jacob shedding tears because of the departing of their father is an example of natural tears. David crying all night because of his hunger and thirst for the living God is an example of spiritual tears.
Therefore, there are three categories of tears:
Natural tears have natural causes, spiritual tears have spiritual causes, carnal tears have carnal causes.
These are not tears:
✓The devil and his agents, and his attributes or products are not a tear, though they may be behind the cause. For instance, pain is a tear, but disease or sickness is not a tear but a cause. Sin is not a tear, but condemnation is. For some have sin but never sheds a tear about it… only those who are convicted and condemned can cry out for relief. Flesh is not a tear, but the burdens it brings are.
