Hear Ye Him Allegories

MY WISHES ACTUALLY BECAME HORSES!

Why I stand the way I stand,

It is because after meeting Jesus, my eye became single. Yes, I have a single eye on Jesus. Since I met Him no other thing matters. To me the only man who matter is Jesus.

Of course, it is too obvious to me, in fact common sense, that all the world with its boasted riches are a vanity fare that Satan has in his hands to allure men to hell. For it is certain that you entered this world naked, and naked still you must leave it. Your soul won’t carry as much as a shoelace out of this world. Therefore, only fools make the world their hope.

The allegory below sums up the reason why I stand the way I do since November the 20th 1985.

As I grew up I painfully began to learn that all men must finally depart from this world empty handed. They won’t take even a thread from the gain of all their labours. Then life to me became empty, void and totally meaningless: what is the use of all the struggles if the end is the grave?

Oh, then my soul yearned:

Oh, that there wert somewhat that feeds on death, That feeds on men; And death once dead, There will be no more dying then!

And in November the 20th 1985, this dream suddenly became true! Can you imagine the relief! What? Yes! I found that which indeed feeds on death that feeds on men! Oh, praise the Lord! Who is He that feeds on death? It is God through Jesus Christ!

1 Corinthians 15:54-56 KJV
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. [55] O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? [56] The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

Hosea 13:14 KJV
I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

Can you imagine how I felt after many years of fear under the terrors of death! My wishes actually became horses! I had wished all along that there be something that practically could destroy death from me and give me an evidence of it. I went into religions (Catholics, Protestants and Pentecostals) and they were at best vague. All they present is some traditions coined by some dead men. And if there is something I hate from childhood is a set of formalities with no meaning behind them. And all religions at best only offers dogma and creed, things without any practical proof at all. They present to you a motionless dead god who is only known historically.

But in 1985 November my dream came true! I came face to face with the living God and He revealed Himself to me! The present day God, the I AM! No wonder I act the way I do! Little had known that all I had wished for was indeed within reach… A living God that can meet me and prove Himself to me that He indeed is God, and that He has a way out of death and its corrupting agents! There I was, with the answer in my hand, with a living God pulsating in my bosom. You can as well take all the world for yourself and leave me with Jesus, Jesus today, not Jesus yesterday! Vain religions present to you Jesus yesterday and Jesus tomorrow – vain useless formalities that I hate! I want Jesus today! I want the God of today!

What good is the God who met and blessed Abraham yesterday if He can’t meet me also and bless me in the way pertaining to me! Useless comforters called religions, I hate them! Presenting formalities to a dying man! I trash all of them to hell! That is Satan’s rubbish on earth!

I found all my hope, life, joy, peace, assurance, and all in all in one man! The man Jesus Christ! He is not a religion and He is not in any religion! If you found it elsewhere, well, it is alright for you I guess, but for me I found it in Jesus! A man who destroys death from my soul and gives me a perfect assurance of a true hope, well founded and made sure, and such a life and inheritance that has no end, in a blissful world of joy and glee, a place where evil cannot even be dreamed of, and where Satan has ceased to exist! Whee! Please, leave me alone! I won’t compromise anymore with the useless things called religion. I was with religion many years without salvation. Religion at best is empty and vague! I thank God He is not a religion! I hated conforming to some religion for hope, for sincerely I could see the meaning of their formalities!

Isaiah 25:6-8 KJV
And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. [7] And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations. [8] He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it .

Revelation 21:3-7 KJV
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. [4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. [5] And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. [6] And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. [7] He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Let me tell you in one Word why I have taken my stand the way I do which has surprised many,

It is because I found the truth which rendered all other things useless lies!

THE FOLLOWING ALLEGORY EXPLAINS MY PRESENT STAND. I HOPE YOU WILL BE PATIENT TO GO THROUGH IT.

EYES TO SEE

“Happy afternoon sons and daughters! Glad to see you all vibrant in spirit. I believe you are doing quite well.” Said Madam Kind as she entered the classroom.

“Amen Madam! Happy afternoon to you too! In him it is well, as the noble hymn testifies sweetly, ‘Anywhere with Jesus it is well!'”

Before we turn our eyes to the lesson-heading that I have jotted on the white board, may I …

“Excuse me Madam,” Interjected Clare, “I love that hymn that they have quoted so much; it’s just a darling in me today! Can I share it with the class?”

Yes Clare, so happy to see you so free like that today! You must be hiding a secret in your bosom since last Sunday. You had never been so free. Something broke loose in your heart last week and we are happy to share with you, happy daughter. For your eyes are now bright and you are no more ashamed to own the Christmas Child, neither ashamed to own us and be numbered thus.

Please, most welcome over these sides the valley, take the stage and with that don’t forget to open your bottle a little more.

“Anywhere with Jesus I can safely go,

Anywhere He leads me in this world below;

Anywhere without Him dearest joy would fade:

Anywhere with Jesus I am not afraid.

Anywhere, anywhere …any little fear I’ll never know,

Anywhere with Jesus I can safely go.

Anywhere with Jesus, I am not alone;

Other friends may fail me, He is still my own,

Tho’ His hand may lead me over dearest ways:

Anywhere with Jesus is a house of praise.

Anywhere, anywhere …any little fear I’ll never know,

Anywhere with Jesus I can safely go:

Anywhere with Jesus I can go to sleep

When the darkening shadows round about me creep.

Knowing I shall waken nevermore to roam,

Anywhere with Jesus will be home, sweet home:

Anywhere, anywhere …any little fear I’ll never know

Anywhere with Jesus I can safely go.”

[Clare sings “anywhere with Jesus” with such a melody that can never be found in the shadowed valley. It was clearly a heavenly Candace, with so mellow a-harmonics and so rich the overtones that any earthly trained choir will sound like monkeys’ calls in comparison! Oh, how the hearts were soaked and absorbed in her as she swung her way heavenward. Sincerely speaking, heaven had never been so close, or ever descended in the class with such glory. Her visage was clearly transfigured that she appeared more like an angel than anything else. Oh, what a name she finally wore! All acknowledged it, that heavens had descended and filled the heart of the little girl! No one could even move a foot or a hand all through, as long as she was on stage; swept every soul under her feet; only tears, tears, tears sweetly rolling down the chicks. All were numbed and glued to their benches! It was a marvel in class!]

“Dear, Honey, Oh Madam! Oh, honey me! You are so sweet and dear to my heart! What a sweetling you have become since last Sabbath, when my eyes were opened to your testimonies! So I had been all along blind and deaf and with no knowledge of it whatsoever! Oh, how miserable, pitiable little thing I was; blind, naked, miserable and didn’t know until then! Think about it. To my foolishness, all along I thought I had learned my lessons well, quite accomplished in religion, walking the blessed highway to heaven, yet I was dead!

You know what? It was on the eve of last Sunday, when I was awakened by a holy presence all around that made me fill completely naked and undone, spreading all my sins before me, and the carnality of my heart. Oh, it was heart breaking! Down on my knees I sunk; and could not as much as lift up my eyes for hours, crying and pleading. Then suddenly I became aware of the presence of somebody standing by me; and with my eyes still closed, I realized as clear as day that the person standing by me was gazing deep into my heart and knew everything about my soul. Oh, dear me! Nothing could be hidden from those eyes! We had better confess it before meeting him in judgement.

Of course, I fell down prostrate, and with my face on the floor I wept every tear out of my heart, pleading for mercy. He laid his tender hand on me and all the mountains melted and vanished. There was not even a dot anywhere of a stain left, as I felt the streaming-something pass through me. Not one burden could I trace anywhere, neither was any condemnation left in my heart. Night was scattered away, and the day shone bright and clear within my heart.

Oh, then the most unexpected happened! Mimi sijui kuelesa, but I then saw him enter within my heart through a door, yet he was the door, and in there we met, I and him: it was love at the first sight, divine love. And as he embraced me a paradox followed! I entered into his heart through a door and he was the door! And in there I meet him again! Think of the surprise! Oh, how sweet and lovely he was, beyond words to describe! How do I say it dear, Honey Madam? Please teach me the language…! I just fell in his arms yet in his heart, and we were perfectly one, he melted into me and I melted into him. So, we were one. Then my ears were opened, and I heard the voice of his words. Oh, honey me! What could I do? how could I respond? My dear classmates, it is beyond! And when those words reached my depth, then I realized who he was. Imagine my surprise! He was the stripling! The much-defamed stripling! What a darling!!! Bless the name of our God, bless and bless and Him …! Oh … there he was! In me and I in him. We can’t part, we can’t separate; he is mine and I am his forever, world without an end.

Oh … I just keep falling in love with Him

Over and over, and over, and over, again

I keep falling in love with Him,

Over and over, and over and over again:

He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by,

Oh, what a love between my Ishi and I;

I keep falling in love with Him

Over and over, and over, and over, again.

Oh, honey me! I now know whom I believe! I now confess him so with no blush at all. I have no doubt of who he is to me – no more to be ashamed of him, no matter how a stripling he is! His glory in me, I alone knows! It is I and him in one in divine love. Be ashamed of him? That is a forgotten dream!

God bless you all and win you all to the stripling as he has done to me, is my heart’s prayer since that eve. Thank you, dear Madam!”

Wonderful of you Clare! What a Clare now you are! That is what I have been reaching out to him for you for, from the first time you appeared. Something in me said, “There, a daughter of Abraham arrives!” And so I loved you as I was thus instructed and straight away started to intercede. And no matter how contrary you appeared on the surface, I pressed on with the race, just to catch up with you! So happy you are now safely within the fold.

I felt it that evening, on the eve of last Sunday. My heart was so enlarged for you, and so quickened was it in me, till I could just embrace you in my bosom as it were a child in the womb of my heart. There and then I knew something was happening to you, so I waited for your testimony. It was so clear that out of my heart was to be born a child that day: and hear you are, the testimony vindicated!

Now you are born a true Clare, therefore, as a city in the light, shine! Be the Clare of his face to all around you. Bright and clear is the meaning of your name, and so let your heart be.

Now, back to the lesson heading, may one of you read for us the paragraph in the course book that contains some of those words in the heading. Yes, Patricia …?…

“And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that Yahweh did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land; The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles: Yet Yahweh hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.”

Amen Patricia! That is the very first place where those words occur. And our lesson shall be based on that for some time.

AN HEART TO PERCEIVE: Oh, what an ornament that is, for the body! For if your eye is single, then all your body will be filled with light. For a single eye is such that sees singularly. And what is it to see singularly? That means you see the objects for exactly what they are and mean.

For instance, look at the people of the valley, how plural their eyes are! For, looking at the dust of the valley, they take that for riches, for honour, for wisdom, for life, for a hope, for comfort, for joy, for peace, that is for all their needs. So, they are so bend down day and night prospecting in the dust of the ground, hungrily heaping to themselves dust and ashes.

Yes, an eye that sees hope in the dust of this knighted valley must be quite blurred! And the owner of such an eye must be so miserable a thing! Pity it, mourn for it, weep sorely for it, pray for it … it is a thing most desolate to own such an eye. Where is hope in the dust of this valley, ye blind prospectors! And how lamentable the case is to find some friend that attends our classes, in the name of a sister or so, busy with a spade in the mine, sweat tripping down upon their nose, in the name of seeking for a hope to anchor her knighted soul! Poor miserable little thing! Does not even believe the trumpet sound that blasts in her ears according to the hour. How miserable are you! How blurred is your eye! No earthly lenses can correct such a defect, it should be plucked and cast away! Better be totally blind than own such.

An eye that prospects in the dust of this floor in the name of seeking for an inheritance, what a miserably twisted eye that must be! How it lacks singularity! Today is a showdown in the optician’s clinic, dear Mirriam! Your eye is gonna be scanned for singularity. So, sit straight on your bench and fix your eyes in the machines! It’s gonna take a bit of some hours anyhow. It’s a form five lesson mark you!

An eye that sees riches bequeathed in the dust of the shadow of death, and forthwith makes a covenant with hell to be licensed to do some prospecting that ends up with nothing! What an evil eye that is! With salt dried up on your brows, relentlessly shoveling the dust in the heart of hellax, in search of what is never found; so busy that the trumpet voice makes no meaning to your ears! Leaving the ornament of grace, as you pass by, having no time for true riches; not seeing the field of the true treasures placed before you, dear Loice is such an eye worth your head?

“Nooo Madam! Never! Too black an for me! It is only worth a witch thrice told! Once I had such, but as Clare has witnessed, so it happened to me, and to the joy of all in me, I plucked and cast it away! What an adulterous eye it was! Seeing garlics, cucumbers, fishes, etc., of Egypt instead of my stripling. I thank the great optician for a work well done.”

Amen, dear happy Loice! Yes, just as Loyce from Lois, meaning a Warrior’s maid, or a maid warrior; it makes quite a warrior of you! And also stand sure of being a maid for the warrior! What? Taking care of the warrior’s weapons! Amen dear Loice?

“Amen! Born for any fate was I; ready for the battlefield. Born a maid for the battlefield, ready for close combat, correctly trained. I fear no battle; always ready to engage next.”

Amen! Yes, may one read for me a portion from our course book instructing you concerning your eye.  Yes, Mose!

“Glo-ory, I also will read today!”

Yes, get on board!

“Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Ma’am, me done that long ago! I met the great optician who taught me how to walk through that wall. I is glad my eye is corrected. All in me are tuned binocularly to the right hand of the Father where my new master sitteth. Me left the old master with his black eye long time ago. Glo-ory!”

Amen sweet Mose! Yes, dear Waters, that eye, that right eye from the Egyptian optician used for star gazing, it must be plucked out. What? A back eye? Better a red one, twice told!

And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

A single eye cannot offend your Christian pilgrimage, and only one optician can fix it for you, and that is the same that Clare met on the eve of the resurrection day. Book an appointment with the true optician. And mark you, there is no true Egyptian eye opener! Never since the foundation of the floors! So, don’t waste your time in that valley.

No single eye can shovel the dust of this valley in the name of finding a hope. The single eye is of faith. It’s the substance of things hoped for, the very evidence of invisible things. But a plural eye is full of adultery and wontonness, it seeketh from where nothing is availed. What a deceitful eye such is!

Please, may one of you read for us where it’s thus recorded concerning the evil eye.

“Amen!” Said Mule, as it were from sleep, for the lesson had dragged his mind quite far, “I will read: The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

That is the eye I have longed after all my life. For checking one time in the dictionary, I found the meaning of such an eye. The dictionary said,

It is pure, purer than to behold evil. That means it cannot condone evil; it cannot give any accommodation for evil. It is an eye that has no place for evil, it cannot tolerate it, but instead abhors and eschew it all round. And the nature of such an is of the quality in inner man called ‘the fear of Yahweh’ by which wisdom is imparted in the inward parts.

In the course book, there are a number of characters that notably had such an eye. If Madam allows one can catch for us an example.”

That is exactly in order with my lesson. To name a few people who had a single eye. Anyone who is ready? Yes, Soley!

“The flat-footed saint is on my mind! Oh, how his eye remained single throughout his trials. Quite a man of integrity! First, he feared Elohim and by that got his heart set rightly being endowed with divine wisdom. Oh, what Pearl of great price! As fare and clear as a Jasper stone. That is what gave him that heart of integrity, being discreet and discerning the right way in everything.

Amen! Here it goes…

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

That is what a single eye makes, a perfect stature. Perfect, upright, fearing God and eschewing evil. That is my desire and prayer Madam, just another Job on earth!”

Wonderfully done, Soley! A salty contribution with quite some seasoning in it. I hope all have enjoyed the meal as I have done. Purer eyes than to behold evil… Which prophet said that in the Bible? Can one find it for us and read it too. Yes, Kumbatia Mwendo…?…

“Amen Ma’am! Here am I, always to be on my toes and alert, is my prayer. That is the Watchman on the tower! It reads …  Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?

There is the single eye! One that cannot spare evil. Cannot countenance it. One that judges rightly and justly.”

Amen Kumbatia, that’s quite strong a meal for us, it’s almost lunch hour anyhow! Good discussion! Quite lively. Any other character with pure eyes, a man with single eyes?

“Excuse me Madam,” interjected Little, “There is one verse I fear reading in the book of revolutions, divine revolutions; I always feel those eyes are seeing me right into my heart and telling every thought in me. Are those the pure eyes?”

Which chapter and paragraph is that?

“Must be revolutions chapter 2 somewhere someplace.”

Oh, yes, that is Rev chapter 2: 18. Little, you can read it for us:

“My, Oh, I fear … those eyes!”

Be brave and read, it is going to be different today, you will never fear again. So, let’s go…

“Shiihi … And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; … Amen my Madam! How sweet the honey, oh, honey me! Nothing pierces my heart this time, but like honey distilling in my soul. Madam, you must have prayed for me.”

You inherited it from your Mum, but the squirrel is under our feet now. So, fear no more. You can read more in chapter one paragraph three …?

“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. … amen! Oh, the honey in me! Why, all heaven is new now! Oh, let me go dancing now, what a dear Madam you are! You have secretly slid me into the tank of very sweetness! No wonder the poet was never wrong, ‘the nearer the born the sweeter the meat’. I see it!”

Yes dear, hold your reins still and open Hebrews 4: and then let us go again.

“Yes my Mum, I sure would read it for my first time… uhu… there I go! The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Oh yes, I see! How many times have I felt that. Alone in a room, yet I can’t hide from the truth! I couldn’t rest till my sins were under the blood! Or else before, I used to feel like something, somebody somewhere had his eyes on me always. Purer eyes than to behold evil! I have learned today. I sure want such eyes. May his hand avail for me through your prayers.”

Amen dear Mellowness, wonderful discussion! Let’s go on to the next character with pure eyes. Who will read for us…? Yes, dear Loriah, I see, I see … our God has done wonderfully! Yes, Loriah …

“Yes dear Mum, some paragraph has been springing up and down in my darling, I have tried to dismiss, thinking, Can anything good start from me?! But it can’t just leave the poor heart in me. So, excuse me if it runs contrary to the lesson.”

Be strong and bring it out, we are quite hungry and expectant to notice trivial things!

It’s in the 40th of Genesis. “And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her. And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within. And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out…

Me thinks that is a man with purer eyes than to countenance any evil. As my friends have put, a man who cannot accommodate such wickedness. Oh, that my eyes were like Joseph’s. Madam, was he also a stripling?”

Well, I can’t tell, but one thing I know, the spoken word is the original seed, and the same came to Abraham in manner and fashion of the stripling; and the same promised to give life to Abraham with his wife Sarah. Through that Sarah received strength and conceived bringing forth Isaac, who was a spiritual man; for life was in him multiplying. From him came Jacob who begat Joseph, a beloved stripling … so beloved was he that the wife of the captain of the guard looked on him yet a slave! Why, he was full of virtue, and devils wanted to prey on that. But he was a single-eyed man … thanks to the grace of God that availed such for him to protect the gift in him against those scavengers!

Oh, let’s move on, the train is gathering momentum. Brakes won’t be applied soon. Who else can you bring on board? Yes, Lowlier…? Yes, climb the steps!

“Uhuu Mum, I have just been thinking of a lady. I hope you won’t find it out of place; but if so, just excuse it to my ignorance; but I have tried to press it down till my check is aching!”

Oh, you don’t have to! It is a free discussion! Courage please…!

“Yes, my heart has been stuck on the Eagle’s gospel book, the 4th chapter. Let me read the words first … or?”

Yes dear, read on.

“Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither. The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?

The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

There, to me, is a single eye with the woman! Though she was quite wrapped in a thick blanket of corrupted religion and manners, yet an eye in her could penetrate the thick fog and discern out who the man was that addressed her. Though the man outwardly a regular Jew, yet she saw into the man and found a Messiah in him. Oh, what a friend she found in him, who provided a remedy for her hopeless state: I will sooner give out all to have what she had, though born a king, with all the world under me! To me, that was an eagle’s eye of singularity! A single eye is such that has a clear vision of divine truth … its value is beyond rubies. If you were to choose what to prospect for, then methinks such is worth all your breath!”

Wonderful Lowlier! I thank…

“Excuse me Mum!” Cried Lowliness, “This comes flooding my soul! I can’t just hold back! The last line of Lowlier’s words seems to break a fountain in me, if you don’t mind may I add this.”

Yes dear Lowliness, the train is still on the move; the first stop is quite miles away, not yet in sight please.

“Thank you Mum. Oh, this is just hallelujah to me! A single eye is one having a clear vision of divine truth! So strikingly true! An eye on divine truth! filling the whole man with divine truth in due season! Isn’t that a wonderful eye to have dear Loyi?

Dear Mum, if you ca allow a minute for the course book…”

On let us move…!

“Another woman with her eye on divine truth! Oh, there she is!

And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot’s house, named Rahab, and lodged there. And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, there came men in hither to night of the children of Israel to search out the country. And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab, saying, Bring forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered into thine house: for they be come to search out all the country.

And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were: And it came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them. But she had brought them up to the roof of the house, and hid them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order upon the roof.

And the men pursued after them the way to Jordan unto the fords: and as soon as they which pursued after them were gone out, they shut the gate. And before they were laid down, she came up unto them upon the roof; And she said unto the men, I know that Yah hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.

For we have heard how Yah dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed. And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for Yah your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.

Now therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by Yah, since I have shewed you kindness, that ye will also shew kindness unto my father’s house, and give me a true token: And that ye will save alive my father, and my mother, and my brethren, and my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death. And the men answered her, Our life for yours, if ye utter not this our business. And it shall be, when Yah hath given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with thee.

Then she let them down by a cord through the window: for her house was upon the town wall, and she dwelt upon the wall. And she said unto them, Get you to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you; and hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers be returned: and afterward may ye go your way.

And the men said unto her, We will be blameless of this thine oath which thou hast made us swear. Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father’s household, home unto thee. And it shall be, that whosoever shall go out of the doors of thy house into the street, his blood shall be upon his head, and we will be guiltless: and whosoever shall be with thee in the house, his blood shall be on our head, if any hand be upon him.

And if thou utter this our business, then we will be quit of thine oath which thou hast made us to swear. And she said, According unto your words, so be it. And she sent them away, and they departed: and she bound the scarlet line in the window.

What an eye of an eagle had this woman! Though the devil had wrapped her with all mire and rot, yet through all that mess, she could recognise her day and it’s divine truth. What a wonderful example to us she is! It matters little the fog that Satan blankets you with, if you have a single eye and the hour arrives with divine truth, it will be as clear as day before your vision. You might be dwelling in sikimo Baridi where the sun seldom shines, just an Eskimo to begin with! Never seen the sun since you were born, but as soon as the hour ticks with divine truth, there and then you jolt out, hollering on top of your voice, “It’s the truth! The truth! Very truth!”

Look at the little harlot. As soon as she heard about Moses and the children of Israel, she took it all within her little heart, and laid it under the sixth rib! “There was no question about it. That was the hand of the living El”: as soon as she saw the truth, she was ready to give her life to it as gospel truth. No matter how the rest mocked and teased! The light was clear in her heart: that was gospel truth!

I hear her tell her neighbor, ‘How I wish I was an Israelite; to worship such a living God will be enough for me. I don’t see anything good that this life affords for men, if not the worship of the true God, the one that saves and gives a hope beyond the grave.’ But most her neighbors could not see much in her talk. They thought her mind was full of fantasy for no reason.

Oh, for an eye full of light; an eye like lamps of fire, is ever my need and only need dear Mum! It will be done, finished! “

That is so sweet dear Lowliness! Oh, we need more of that, isn’t it class? Though my time is almost over.

“Yes Mum! Drive on! The next lesson is a free one, it is meant for individual meditation; so, you have your hands on the reins!”

Thanks Loyale. We will move on with the discussion. More on such an eye from the course book…? Welcome Lolie! (Lola lolie … uhuhu…). The stage is yours.

“Just been thinking … as my friends have drove on the discussion, for me it has reached a point of no return. I mean, it is time to throw the sails in the air and let the ship go where the wind purposes. For thus is he that is born again!

Now for my contribution, my heart has been driving me towards Hebrews. All the time something whispering, ‘Hebrews.’ Quite a small still voice! So, I have let loose, thrown the sails in the air, let her go where the wind listeth. So, I beg to read from the course book a paragraph or two…?”

It’s alright. We are waiting absorbingly!

“Well, then open Hebrews 11th  …By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment.

By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

There is a single eye to me! An eye that sees beyond the thick clouds shadowing the valley, way into the victory divine! Hallelujah! Oh, how it rolls sweetly upon my heart, I tell you! [Khubolela!] Nanda is all to me! Yea, Yahweh’s despised way is my choice … deliberately!

What does the clear eye tell thee? ‘Never be afraid, never be afraid; never, never, never: Jesus is your loving savior, therefore never be afraid!’

Moses’ parents with such a single eye could not waste their vision elsewhere. They fixed their binoculars on the word of promise, the divine truth, and there stayed flat-footed! May that be my eye, ear and heart! thrice told. Amen!

What? ‘Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;’ Oh, the honey in me! Wishy-wash religion never my choice, but sassafras, backwoods, blue-sky, mine forever! (Kiminiongo, kumusilisili nende kumuchefuno atayi nase!) See it? A single eye zeros on the promised word and stays put, no matter the consequences, ready for any fate; but the word remains the only choice! Holler as much as you want to, the word of promise is an adamant-of-a-thing anyhow! Never can it be moved, believes my heart!

What? Are you about to teach our God what to do with his word? Or are you his counsel? Are your words not foolishness before Him? As the dust of the floor, as the mire of the street: without any meaning at all, are your thoughts to him, yea, the thoughts of your foolishness! Humble yourself, therefore, before him to find grace and favour in time of need. Amen!

‘Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.’ Comrade Mose, see a single eye? It’s wonderful, isn’t it? Clearly sees the true treasures, and sacrifices all for it. Some poor little madams in this school, and some poor little teachers in this school, with their eyes bend on scratching the Egyptian manure pile for riches even after being enlighted! How foolish and blind can people be, saith the illiterate Mose. Yea, how foolish of heart! Better be a fool in the brains but not in the heart, cries Mose!

Oh Madam! Just a minute please! This soaks me so well. [She nods affirmatively, for the atmosphere hardly allows a whisper.] Yep, Moses with a single eye sow the exact value of all things around, and nothing would deceitfully use him! Never with Moses. Why? That eagle eye! That single eye! Sees all for what they are. All he could see of pharaohs riches is vanity of vanities. Nothing to attract the least attention from Moses. Why? A single-eyed man! You won’t deceive him with fake gold as some madams in this school, and some students attending our classes are easily duped, even after gazing at it. What is the problem? Pluralism of eyes! Cloudy, confused, blurred eyes! Get to the great optician, saith Lowliness, and have your eyes tuned to the word of life, a Moses shall thou be. Amen! Fools and slow of heart to learn of old Mose…

A single eye! That is it! It sees the reproach of Christ excellent riches than all the poor gold that the poor world affords today. (Poor gold, I say, for poor world! How poor is the world with her poor gold!) A single eye! A single eye! A single! Cries me. There it is. Sees the reproach of Christ, of being identified with the identified Christ of all ages, greater riches, true riches, excellent riches than anything here below! What is wrong with us, my classmates! Madam has covered the syllabus quite well. Why are we still scoring so dismally in this matter? Woe, woe, woe unto us, Saith Lowliness, if our eyes be plural! A single eye esteems the reproach of Jesus as excellent riches than anything. Oh, sister Loice, I can see your face: ready for any fate? Left all for the excellence of Christ?

[Aaaamen, glory, ain’t I in the house of the king!]

Pluralism? What? Sungura analala na jicho moja wasi, eheee Sungura we ni mchanja sana. Kata sietani, kata; kata mara tatu kata!

See it? The sly creature’s eye is of pluralism. Mchanja wa ajabu!  Such an offensive eye should be plucked out in favour of the true eye of faith. How many of us have allowed their vision to darken because of the desire for the treasures of Egypt?!

Dear classmates, I hope you will not hate me for my contribution to the lesson on the table. But that was just boiling in me when our dear Mum introduced the lesson. So, I leave you with this:

Na upanga wako Kata sietani, kata;

Kata mara tatu, kata! Again?

Na upanga wako Kata sietani, kata;

Kata mara tatu, kata!”

Amen Lowliness, a wonderful contribution! May all calmly embrace it in their bosom.

Just a little more about the single eye before we lay it to rest. It’s an eye that sees the promise made for your season however strange it appears. The single eye will single it out! Oh, with a single eye, you’ll see it as clear as day, even if he comes in as a thief, as a stripling. Let me get you to the course book … Luke the 2nd.

And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.

And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

See how a single eye singles out the promise of the day, just like picking a needle from a pile of grass! He came right to the stripling! He identified it among a hundred and one other children. How, there wasn’t any light around him! No sign upon him! It was revealed to him. There is the single eye! It beholds the promises, embraces and rejoices in the same.

Look at that old man with his natural eye dim, but among all men in Jerusalem, he is the only one who had the secret. He knew what the little baby was. It was revealed to him by the Holy Spirit. For one to be thus revealed, you must need have an eye that can see light. So was Simeon. Yes, he held the Christmas Child in his hands and blessed it. Dear Lowlysome, have you recognized the same Child in your day? The stripling! Go, pray over that.

Two more things that we have not discussed makes the exercise: the ear that can hear and the heart that can perceive. Pick on one of the two and research on it by the course book and any other records.

JUST AS I AM, THINE OWN TO BE,

Friend of the young, Who lovest me,

To consecrate myself to Thee,

O Jesus Christ, I come.

In the glad morning of my day,

My life to give, my vows to pay,

With no reserve and no delay,

With all my heart I come.

I would live ever in the light,

I would work ever for the right;

I would serve Thee with all my might;

Therefore, to Thee I come.

Just as I am, young, strong, and free,

To be the best that I can be

For truth, and righteousness,

And Thee, Lord of my life, I come.

And for Thy sake to win renown,

And then to take the victor`s crown,

And at Thy feet to cast it down,

O Master, Lord, I come.
