The Beginning and the End
Revelation 1:8
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
The Alpha is the Omega, he is the beginning and therefore the ending and the First and therefore the Last. What does this phrase mean? Many take it casually, just at surface value, yet we have a richer depth within each of the phrases above.
Let us consider them one by one. And first, the Alpha and the Omega. Alpha is the first Greek letter like A in English, while Omega is the last Greek letter like Z in English. Thus, it implies one who is the origin of all things and the final ending of all things. There are three phases to it, first to an individual, and second to the church as a whole, and third to the whole creation.
To you as an individual, he is your Alpha and Omega; that means he is your A and your Z. What is that? That is your all in all. He is everything to you. Without him you have nothing. Outside him you are poor, destitute, miserable, wretched, formless and void, just a wandering fugitive and vagabond. He has everything for you, and you have nothing for yourself, therefore when you decide to come to him first make up your mind clearly. You are leaving all your poverty for His riches; you are leaving all your misery to His blessings; you are leaving all your desolations to His treasures. It should appear to you that clear, that all you can amount to in this world is only misery, wretchedness, desolations, corruption and all that has no form. All that the world accords you with are vanities. So, you cast all behind your back to receive Him as your A and Z.
Yes, in the same sense He is your A and Z in all your Christian pilgrimage. He is the Alpha, the beginning of your Christian journey and the final end, the Omega. No church group anywhere, no church leader anywhere, no other head anywhere. He means all in your Christianity. Once with Him you have no need of anything else. People stand in need of human leaders because they don’t fully commit themselves to Him who is their A and Z. Look at these two scriptures below closely:
Exodus 40:34-35 Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
1Kings 8:10-11 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.
Once you receive the fulness of God in His son Jesus Christ as your A and Z, then His glory fills you and from that time there is no more place in you for some man to come in as your leader. God Himself becomes your leader; He becomes your head. He reveals to you what to do and what not to do. He becomes your all in all.
Secondly, for the church, the same thing happens. Jesus is her Alpha and her Omega. Which church is that? Not some gatherings on earth, but the body of Christ, that is the only true church. In there, only Jesus is your head, all others are members. For the glory of God fills the Body of Christ in so much that there is no place for some human leader to do anything.
Thirdly, for the whole creation, Jesus is the foundation stone. He is the one who laid the cornerstone, and he is the one who comes to complete the work in perfection. There is no way another man can perfect his work. He who laid the foundation is the same one who comes to complete it. The church can never be perfected by any other man but the headstone. He who laid the cornerstone was the cornerstone, and he also is the headstone. It is Christ’s own ministry at the end time that brings on the headstone to perfect the church.
And Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and took the royal city. And Joab sent messengers to David, and said, I have fought against Rabbah, and have taken the city of waters. Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and encamp against the city, and take it: lest I take the city, and it be called after my name. And David gathered all the people together, and went to Rabbah, and fought against it, and took it. And he took their king’s crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was set on David’s head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city in great abundance. 2Samuel 12:26-30
So, does it apply to every house and kingdom, the man that brings the headstone upon it the whole thing is named after him. When the devil hijacked the program of God and gave wisdom to Eve and Adam, then the whole thing fell to him, he became their head for they had crowned him. Thus, for Christ to be the head of the church he should be the final messenger to her.
Notice, in the beginning was the Word, therefore, in the ending there will be the Word again! It is only he who started all things that comes to finalize all things. It is only him who laid the foundation of the house who comes to finish it. The only minister who can perfect the works of God in you is Jesus. The only messenger who can perfect the church is Jesus. The only man who can perfect the creation of God is Jesus. There therefore, remains a final ministry to perfect you, and the minister for that will not be some pastor, but Jesus himself. There remains a final work to perfect the church, and the final messenger to do that could not be Luther, not Wesley, not Branham either! Those are simple members of the body, none of them is the head; it is Jesus who comes finally to perfect the church. He is the final man! The final messenger! The final minister! For only a perfect man can perfect anything else. Jesus is that perfect man.
You adulterous and adulteresses with eyes doting on Peter, Paul, Luther, Wesley, Branham, Moody, or any other man! None of those darlings of yours died for you! None of them laid the foundation of your salvation for you! None of them affords the least thread as a garment for you! None of them is your husband! None of them is given to you by God as your head! They are all your brothers and sisters! There is only one who is your Alpha and Omega, the founder and perfecter; the author and finisher of your salvation and eternal redemption, and the same is Jesus!
What is wrong with church men? How confused and mixed up they are! If your reference is any other man outside Jesus Christ, then you are an adulterer and an adulteress! Look at the following scriptures and be ashamed of yourselves, you who make Branham or any other man your author and finisher, how desolate you must be!
Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? 1Corinthians 1:12-13
You are all guilty of the same crimes! The Catholics have made Peter their foundation and headstone, whom in the long run have substituted with the papacy. The Lutherans have made Luther their Alpha and Omega, quite a darling for them till they are named after his name. they are all Mrs. Lutherans! Adulterers and adulteresses! The Methodists have Wesley as their founder, thus foundation and their headstone. He is their darling, their bridegroom. How miserable must they be! Branham followers have Branham for their darling, he is the author and finisher of their faith. They recognize nothing else outside Branham. They can’t deny that! He is their final man! They Judge all things by what Branham said, and reject any other ministry of the spoken word. They claim that the days of prophets are over. They don’t believe that the Spirit still speaks to the churches today. All those things are Satan’s tricks to blind men by a religious coverup. No man is final until Jesus takes position as the capstone. Only Jesus is final!
And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. Ephesians 1:22-23
I speak to your shame all ye Branhamites, though you don’t want to be called so, but since he is your Alpha and Omega, your beginning and your ending, your first and your last, your author and finish of all things, then he is your foundation and your headstone! And you judge all things by only his words. And furthermore you don’t accept any other messenger sent from God, for you ignorantly believe that the days for God sending any other man with “thus saith the Lord,” are over, and that Branham was the revealed the fullness of God, therefore you mean that in him dwelled the fullness of God bodily. How deceived are you! Yes, accept it! You are Branhamites, typical Branhamites.
Brother Branham clearly taught you that put a comma after every ministry until Christ comes to perfect the church, but you have thrown his counsel behind your backs and have shamelessly replaced his many commas with your periods (full stops).
40 He said, “Look, don’t say it.” Said, “When we wrote the…our rules and what we believe in this church, we end with a comma, not a period. We believe this, plus as much more as we can hear.” So that—that’s very good; I like that.

But what did the devil do? He come along and made them organize, and they begin to organize and draw fences and lines. And you know what? The Pillar of Fire has… moving out again, and the Pentecostal people’s so organized they can’t move with It. But God’s Fire’s moving right on just the same, and He will do it in every age. And never a church, through history, that ever fell ever revived again. You know that. They are down.
And we must not draw boundary lines. We must say, “We believe this,” not end with a period, but with a comma. “We believe this, plus as much as God will pour into our hearts.” That’s—that’s… “We believe this.”
55-1111 – Where I Think Pentecost Failed
Rev. William Marrion Branham
But I said, “They have ended with a period, when they should’ve ended with a comma. Their theology’s all right, plus what God can add to it. Your teachings, the schools that you’re from is fine.

33 Now, if we are obedient children. If we in the Methodist, in the Baptist, in the Oneness, in the United, in the Assemblies, Church of God, Nazarene, Pilgrim Holiness, if we were obedient children… When our founders raised up, they got a revelation on something and built an organization around it. That’s all right; it’s okay, if you would build your organization and end it with a comma: “We believe this, plus as much as what God can show us.” But the trouble, we build our organization and end it with a period: “This is it, and that’s all of it.” Then God can’t work. See? And then in doing that, the devil comes around and can give you false things. What we ought to do is big—one big body of love all together, every church, and the different…
57-0310e – Hear Ye Him
Rev. William Marrion Branham
There is Brother Branham’s stand! Shame on you, all you clergymen who have replaced all his commas with your periods, making him the author and finisher of your faith, and thus your salvation. Brother Branham never taught you such falsehood! You taught it yourselves. He said nowhere that he was the final man, instead he opened doors for anything else from anywhere else, judging it only by the scriptures! He left all doors open for anything that God would send you, but you have since shamelessly closed them all, making a theology out of his message, dead to begin with!
I do not agree with organization, I—because that the organization… Now, listen close. If the organization would say, “We believe this,” with a comma, all right. But if, “We believe this, period,” that’s all wrong. See, see? If you end your doctrine with a comma: “We believe this, plus as much as God wants to add to it”; but when you say, “We believe this, period, and that’s all,” then you shut God right out of it. See? And that’s the way organizations do. They end it with a—with a period.
61-0125 – Why?
Rev. William Marrion Branham
Where are you Branhamite clergyman who rejects anything else no matter how scriptural, simply because to you Branham is Alpha and Omega! Branham never believed such an antichrist teaching of yours! The only period we have is the Godhead, which is revealed only in Jesus, who is the only true Omega! All organizations end their theology with a period: that is churches which have formalized their doctrines, based on some past tense teacher, ending all with a period are organizations, thus they are Christian religious denominations! You Branhamite now suit exactly that, with all your periods over everything: “No more prophets after Branham.” Is that not a period? Or you are so mixed up that you are placing periods for commas?
Now, now, my precious friend, I do not make any differences in churches. They’re all just the same to me, the denominations. And if I have to call a church’s name here, I’m not meaning it and anywhere. There’s just as many good people in that church as there is in any. Because there’s only one church. And we’re not joined into it; we don’t have any name in this church; it’s just the body of Christ, the mystical body.
61-0217 – The Mark Of The Beast And The Seal Of God #2
Rev. William Marrion Branham
Where are the Branhamite clergymen? Are you present or you have shied away, slipped away from the contest? Look, there is no physical gathering anywhere with a name branded on it that is a true church! There is no such a thing as a true church physically gathered anywhere on earth. All churches are just the same! They are human organizations, by-products of men! dead blind to begin with, as deceived by the serpent as Eve was!
And we’re not joined into it; we don’t have any name in this church; it’s just the body of Christ, the mystical body. The only true church that Christians are found in is the spiritual body of Christ. All other churches are harlots to begin with! The so-called believers church, or message believers church, or end time message believers church or Branham believers church, all these are mere harlots with human leaders who brainwash their members with slogans coined out of Branham’s messages; yes, slogans meant to place periods where Branham placed commas. Away with those Nicolaitan deeds, they are weight in the balance of the word and are found wanting anyhow!
And I—and I’ve scolded my minister brothers for not—for just drawing themselves into one little thing in a group. Now, I’d think… If there was a denomination that would say, “We believe this, comma, plus all that God can add to it…” But when we make our denominational realms, we say, “We believe this, period,” and the Holy Spirit moves right in, and moves right out of it. That’s right. See? Now, if we can end it with a comma, then we just keep on growing.
62-0621b – The Path Of Life
Rev. William Marrion Branham
There is no way you can keep growing if you have ended your belief with a period. The moment you place a period on your belief the Holy Ghost packs you aside and moves on!
If the first church ever started, the first church, any church, would say, “We believe this,” and end their doctrine with a comma, instead of a period, we…there’d never been nothing but one church. That’s all. See. “We—we believe this, plus as much as God will let us know otherwise.” But when we say, “We believe this, and this is it, and that is all”: then, we die right there, you see, because God is Eternal and He’s growing on.
64-0412 – A Court Trial
Rev. William Marrion Branham
Yes, how true! God is eternal and you can’t put a period on His revelation! You cannot put a period on His mysteries! You cannot put a period on His treasures! Eyes have not yet seen, ears not yet heard enough of it, it is still going deeper and deeper! We can only put a comma, but the moment you put a period you die there and then. How many church leaders says “amen” to that? You can’t deny it! That is Branham’s stand! So, believe it, though it be against your dogma of <NO MORE REVELATION>. Let us see some of the commas placed by Branham after his message:
43 It may be my going-home time. It looks very much that way. If it is, there will rise somebody after me, that’ll take the Message on. He’ll be an odd person, but he’ll rise after this and take the Message on. And you listen to it. As long as it’s Scripture, stay with it.
63-0118 – Spirit Of Truth
Rev. William Marrion Branham
Quite a comma! There it is! All you are to do is to judge any other ministry by the scriptures; judge that message by the scriptures, and if it is scriptural receive it! Amen!
234 But help me to live so that in my generation…I’ll not stand in another generation. I’ll have nothing to judge them. I’ll not have to stand the judgment with them. But I’ll have to stand the judgment with men and women who I’ve lived with. That’s where it counts, yonder in the resurrection, when my days is finished and I’ve done my best, if I be God’s servant. God will raise Him up another man in that day when I’m gone. So there’s no need of me setting something around my theology; is me to live in what Light I have, and wait till…on God. For the next generation to come, He’ll have a man there when that generation comes up. Amen. Oh, my!
54-1219m – Divine Healing
Rev. William Marrion Branham
Oh, what a comma is that! Glory to God in the highest! He knew so well that Satan will slip in behind Branham and sneak in some period on his message, so He ensured clear commas everywhere. Many people may come claiming those commas, so to receive anything, judge each by the plain scripture, it must be plainly and clearly scriptural! We don’t dash for anything in the name of revelation.
True revelation is always as clear as the sun shines. It is always plain scriptures shining out so much so that you may not need any sign or miracle to vindicate it. Luther did not need any miracle to vindicate his message, it was plain scripture upon scripture. You are free to judge all that I have preached through this book, if it is unscriptural, then throw it away! Don’t hold on anything which is clearly unscriptural. But if it is scriptural then pray for the Holy Ghost to lead you along. Never have a man for your leader. God has never entrusted his children to some human leadership. God is your leader! He leads you by the Holy Spirit through scriptural truth. Cling on that and learn to pray through.
It may be time, it may be the hour now, that this great person that we’re expecting to rise on the scene may arise on the scene.
327 Maybe this ministry, that I have tried to take people back to the Word, has laid a foundation; and if it has, I’ll be leaving you, for good. There won’t be two of us here the same time. See? If it is, he’ll increase; I’ll decrease. I don’t know.
63-0324e – The Seventh Seal
Rev. William Marrion Branham
In the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be settled, those are three clear commas placed by Branham after his ministry is over. There is no period he ever placed anywhere after his ministry. He expected Christ to come at the end of his ministry, but he never placed a period on the revelation of the Word!
323 Now, what this great secret is that lays beneath this Seal, I do not know. I don’t know it. I couldn’t make it out. I couldn’t tell It, just what It—just what It said, but I know that It was them Seven Thunders uttering themselves right close together, just banging seven different times. And It unfolded into something else that I seen. Then, when I seen That, I looked for the interpretation. It flew across there, and I couldn’t make It out. That’s exactly right. See? The hour isn’t quite yet for It.
63-0324e – The Seventh Seal
Rev. William Marrion Branham
All mysteries were not revealed through Branham, why? He is not the Alpha and Omega! Only Alpha and Omega is the fullness of God’s mystery. That is why the seventh seal remained sealed even to Branham, because that is the mystery of the Godhead. Only he in whom dwelleth the fullness of the Godhead will reveal its fullness.
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power. Colossians 2:8-10
There you are, only completed in Jesus Christ. With all that Branham revealed, taught and preached, you aren’t complete still, you must push forward still towards perfection. And when you struck the Alpha who comes now as your Omega, then stop there and rest. You have arrived where the fullness abides. There is your bridegroom, the headstone with the seventh seal in revelation.
Brother Branham clearly taught you that put a comma after every ministry until Christ comes to perfect the church, but you have thrown his counsel behind your backs and have shamelessly replaced his many commas with your periods (full stops).
28 Now, I don’t mean to walk up to Christ with—with just a—a blank mind. I don’t mean that. You come to Him in your right mind, and in a—a—a penitent mind, and humble. And then say, “Lord Jesus, here am I. Now, it’s written here in Your Word, that You ‘had many things yet to say to the disciples.’ You said, ‘They could not bear them now.’” And perhaps that’s our case today, we cannot understand them.
29 God can raise up just a little something different, and altogether we denounce it. Instead of searching the Scripture to see if it’s right or not, we just quickly throw it away, “There’s nothing to it.” We ought to search out these things, find out whether they’re right or not. And remember, if they’re not right, they’ll finally die, for Jesus said, “Every plant that My Heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up.”
210 The third day I went back, I was climbing up high. And many of you know the vision about the Indian chief riding that little wall to the west. Something attracted me off to a big rock, about noontime, said, “Lay your hands against that and pray.” God in Heaven knows this is true.
211 I laid my hands against the rock and looked up towards Heaven and started praying. I heard a Voice coming out of the top of the rocks there, said, “What are you leaning against, over your heart?” And I raised back like this, my bare shoulders; naked from my waist up, hot. I looked back. And there was wrote in the quartz, in the stone, “White Eagle”; just exactly what the vision said that the next Message would come forth by.
212 I was so excited, I run home; got a camera and come back the next day, and took the picture of it. It was still there, wrote in the rock: “White Eagle.” (Dove leading eagle.)
