A Sermon From “Hear Ye Him”
By SweetNote
Walking in Paradise
“Tell me then, in perfection how shall all things be used to serve God or how shall they be offered to Him…?” I asked my friend Sweet-Note.
“Let us take it bid by bid,” Sweet-Note came on, taking me by hand, as we strolled in the garden, “you know that grass has leaves which cattle enjoy as food, and by that they get their fats, and then in the right season their fats shall be offered to God by the fire of their angel; the angel of their estate shall overshadow them in due season, and by that spiritual fire, their savours shall go up to the throne of God. That is one clear way in which the grass through its leaves shall continually serve God. The angel fire offers their fats to God without consuming the cattle.
“Secondly, you know that from the grass family we get corn which makes bread. Now, the corn of this land ripens into bread directly, the way fruits do. No cooking is necessary. Then the cake is plucked off and eaten by man. Oh, and how sweet that barley cake is! Uh! Its sweetness goes into the heart directly with all its savours, creating melodies hard to be uttered. Then flames of joy breakout worshipping and praising God.”
With that, Sweet-Note led my way towards the fields, and there I beheld ripening wheat and barley. He plucked some of it and asked me to do the same. We sat down by the field and ate the wheat and barley cakes… the taste of that I cannot describe to you. You will have to taste it yourselves to know.
Then Sweet-Note continued, “As we eat of these grassy cakes, spiritual fats are formed both in our hearts and in our bodies. In the season appointed, the Holy Spirit comes upon us, setting on fire the fatty melodies within our hearts. Oh, then the sweet worship in a tongue which only the Holy Spirit gives! All praises, thanksgiving and savours go heavenward. Songs unknown before are composed and sang there and then! Oh! it will be sweet, I tell you!”
“Oh, that is wonderful! What of the herbs?” Cried Witness who had joined us.
“What of their nectar and the fragrance they flow with! And when the sons of God smell it, their hearts can’t help but break in song and praise. That sweet and pleasant aroma goes right into the heart, melting all and making spiritual frankincense out of it. From them the aroma of their incense ascends heavenward with the prayers of the saints. Oh, what a wonderful worship is gonna be up there! These is what is called the paradise of God. Praise the Lord!
“Now, let me make this clear,” Continued Sweet-Note as we stood among the everblooming flowers, “whatever fragrance we smell from the earthly flowers touches our nostril with only their sensation, and the whole thing ends there, but the fragrance of the flowers of paradise is not so! no! it does not only make you feel a sweet pleasant scent, but the very aroma passes into your body through your nose; then from the lungs the very nectar gets into the life stream, then through the life stream it gets into your heart the way your food gets into your blood stream through your stomach. On reaching the heart, it is converted into sweet spiritual odours to be offered to God in the fellowship of love. Hallelujah!
“Oh, then by and by your honeycomb begins to trip. My! time of worship in prayer would have come! You must make for the golden altar then! You are tripping with love for Him who loved you and prepared such a paradise for you! How can you help but worship Him! Hallelujah! David did display a millionth of it in Jerusalem! But in paradise? just keep quiet. You have not even dreamed about a millionth of it!”
Man, get to the mark! God gave you that nose for a purpose, for only one purpose! What? To serve Him with it! If you keep it safe from the crude earthly diversions, you will serve Him acceptably in paradise in a perfect way, for in this world there is almost nothing for the nose to serve God with. Wait till you get to paradise, please! You will wonder and be amazed. It was not meant for drug stuffs which people sniff or smoke. Of course, they will pay for misusing it. They abuse it by sniffing and smoking all kinds of corrupting odours. They will pay for it.
No! God never gave you a nose to sniff and draw in drugs to get drunken and confused. It was meant for smelling sweet scents from flowers to offer it unto God in worship upon the golden altar within your hearts. The right flowers are not found in the desolate land of the heathen, but paradise has the answer. Wait for it!
“Some have misused their nose in smelling odours that invite devils to them, and to offer their hearts by that to devils. But the truth shall be revealed. You were given the nose through which you are to collect the pleasant, sweet aromas of the heavenly flowers into your glorified body to convert the aroma into pure spiritual incense, some spiritual honey, and store it in the chambers of your heart as melodies. Uh! that sweet honeycomb of love…! stop there please, you are just daydreaming! You don’t know what I mean!
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1 Cor 2:9-10 KJV
So is it now; we have some glimpse by the Spirit of revelation, but the reality of paradise has not dawned in any heart yet. So, the nose shall be used perfectly to gather the sweet aromas to make the honeycomb of the melodies of love by which you will offer love offerings to God. This will be a memorial offering, for the smell of a thing makes you remember something, because the sense of smell is connected with that of memory. Yes, you will remember the goodness of the Lord your God, to offer the best for Him! Hallelujah!
You know, the scripture of truth says that Jesus’s name is as an ointment poured; and that he is as the lily of the valley and the rose of Sharon. It says his garments smell of acacia and aloes that makes the heart glad. And that God has anointed him with the oil of gladness. Yes, he is the best of everything that you need! Many have talked about how blessed it will be for them to see his face. But they have never tasted anything about his presence… that ointment poured, please! It is beyond our language to tell. And there, will your nose be employed to serve God! for by the aroma that suffuses from his name, all who smell of it cannot help but be thrown into rapturous worship, song, and glee! Glory to God!
“What of our ears?” Cried Daybreak whom we had found in the cornfields.
“Same thing! For birds are made in a way so as to produce melodies of sweet harmonics. Isn’t it?” Paused Thankful, to let it sink. “The earthly birds are a far away shadow of the real birds of paradise. And when that mocking bird will hum ‘My Jesus, I love you, I know thou art mine…’ or ‘Jesus, the very thought of you…’ or ‘Amazing grace, how sweet the sound…’ My! you will lie down prostrate and thank God a thousand times without getting satisfied!
“And when all those harmonics passes into your body through your ear, and then into your heart, they reproduce in your body the very substance of what you would have heard, and the same is the melody of that song. Then it is stored in your heart in form of melodies, like honey, making your heart so mellow in love for your maker and only Saviour that ever you knew and knows! Hallelujah!
“When the climax strikes, and birds have done all their work on you as they ought to do, then you will not be able to withhold yourself any longer, but shall melt into song and praise, the tunes thereof the mortal tongue cannot pretend to learn! That is a second memorial offering. Not the vulgar music you hear around, the chattering confusion of hell-bound wretched fellows!
“Not only that, but through the same ears you will hear heavenly angelic music, as the saints will sing praising God, and the same thing will follow. And the climax of it will be to hear God’s word as the bread of life. I tell you, my dear, you have not yet heard God’s word. I mean the real hearing, please. God’s word is the heavenly bread whose taste is beyond language! The mortal ear is too uncircumcised to make out much about God’s word. Remember God’s word is Jesus Christ. And you don’t know what that man is! Oh, that pearl of heaven! the choicest jewel that cannot be imagined! His words, his songs, his poetry, his sayings, proverbs, and all, taken from the eternal treasures, it goes beyond language to tell it! It will never be exhausted world without end! And you will never be tired of hearing him. What a darling of earth and heaven he is!
“What? In summary, your ears were meant to hear God’s word and convert the same into a love offering in your heart. Then in the season acceptable, you would pour the drink offering of your love to God. There is the correct function your ears! Yet men, being careless, spend their ears on nothing but rot! They will pay for it.”
“Oh, that is wonderful my brother,” cried Blissful, convey me to paradise, please! I am sick of love!”
“Yes, my dear, that is where we are bound to. Stay on board!”
“What of the eyes!” Cried Whitefield, who was seated near Sweet-Note.
“Yes, quite a purpose behind them! God gave you those eyes to use them to worship Him. In this desolate world, we can hardly use our eyes to worship our maker. The very eyes are wrongly set. Much that attracts fleshly eyes in this world makes an offering to Satan. All those vulgar shows, videos, movies, pictures, etc. But the original maker says, ‘I will restore…!’ Amen!
“Notice, you were given eyes to see the beauty of holiness all around you, and to look at the fair pleasant flowers, the picturesque landscapes, the mountains and all the appealing natural hue, by which sweet savours would form in your heart to worship your God with.
“But in this world, there is nothing like beauty, comeliness, or fairness. There is nothing so much about pleasantness to the sense of sight. But when you get in paradise, you will be amazed! The beauty of holiness all around! Grass, herbs and trees all are so beautifully arrayed, that you can’t describe anything to a mortal ear! Then the clouds, my! stop there! What of the birds, the fish and the whales! The rivers, the gorges, and the prairies? beyond words! What of the beasts, cattle and creeping things, you won’t stop gazing at them, almost, for beauty and fairness!
“But the greatest of all is the face of Jesus…! just a glance at his face will entrance you. The effect in your heart cannot be described. So winey! So pleasant! You will have to experience it to comprehend what I mean. It is so revealing, so converting, so transforming, so enlightening, so quickening… it makes you exactly like himself, as the scripture says, ‘When we see him, we shall be changed to be like him.’
“He is the bright and morning star, and our eyes are meant to see that light and walk in it. That is a service unto our God, for by the same light, a holy state forms in our inner man and by it we worship him who is true.
“Your eyes will collect all that, absorb it into your body and reproduce the same in psalms, proverbs, songs and poems … so pleasant to the ears that when you start you won’t almost stop composing.
“Surely, that is wonderful!” Cried Heart-light. “What of your mouth?”
“When you taste the sweet bread from those fields of paradise; when you taste of her honey and her fruits, all is drawn into your body, creating such joy and stimulation of revelation that you just keep shouting ‘hallelujahs!’ This is made into sweet savours and stored in your heart to be an offering during the appointed season for that feast.
“Your body will be a store house for all these foodstuffs collected, and it shall be used in the feasts of the Lord your God.
“What of your fingers and the sense of touch? Yes, for playing heavenly harps, the melody changes from finger to finger, as you sing. The same is absorbed into your body and becomes stored food to be served during the feast day, a feast unto the Lord, a holy convocation.
“The air of that land is alive, and it flows with the Holy Spirit! By him you breath in strength, and by that your stored food is offered to God, for in the appointed season He will fill you with holy fire that melts the spiritual fats and converts them into sweet melodies.
“The very air mingled with the Holy Spirit is sweet, so sweet and refreshing, filling you with sweetness which your body converts into stored food, that is heavenly fats. To be offered to God during worship.
“The water of those fountains is so sweet and so refreshing. You will drink and drink converting it into stored food, that is heavenly fats, and you will offer the same as peace offerings unto your God.
“Yes, all things in that most pleasant land will serve God as an offering. There is nothing dead in that land. The very stones are lively! The soil is lively! The clouds are lively! That is where we are headed to.
“But above all is Jesus Christ the Son of God in the midst of paradise, the bright and morning star, the root and offspring of David, David the beloved! And the Beloved Father! The Lily of the valley. Your sight of him will send you flat on the ground, not knowing what to do! Beyond sweetness! You laugh or cry, shout or keep quiet, jump up and down or sit still? You don’t know what to do. Oh, that face full of grace and truth! Loving kindness and mercies, faithful and true! It will overcome all in you and melt all into sweetness of love! and with that you store the most pleasant wine and of marrows for the Passover feast, the feast of the Lamb. Amen!
“In Genesis, the saints only offered the figure of the true offering, so they got blessings in a figure. During the Old Testament, beginning with Moses, the saints offered a shadow of the expected offerings, and so they received shadow blessings. In the New Testament, the saints have been offering an earnest of themselves unto God as a sacrifice, that is their souls after being purified, and they got earnest blessings.
“Now we are looking forward to perfection in the fullness of time, then we shall be a perfect offering in heart, soul, spirit and body, and all the four shall have something to be offered unto God for a sweet savour, and the Holy Spirit fire shall consume all the fat stored in each section in whatever form, and God will receive of that, and by that He shall descend in fullness to unite with us; then shall the whole tabernacle be filled with the glory of God and with His holy presence, and by that He shall glorify His house.
“God does not kill to eat! He eats in fellowship to revive and bless what He fellowships with! The Spirit comes upon them and burns the melodious fats within their bodies causing savours to melt and flow heavenward! Amen! The way your heart melts in worship by the Holy Ghost fire, so would the savours of cattle melt by the Spirit, and God would smell all and bless the creation the more!
“It’s the devil who kills to eat! It is the parasite who kills as it eats. God is not a destroyer! He is not a parasite! His eating is a fellowship with what is offered. A-a-amen!
“We shall also eat of the sweet sap of the fruits, and that will melt our hearts in prayers and supplications. He will then descend among us to fellowship with us, receiving our love, joy and peace offerings. Then together with Him united, all ours is His and all His ours, we shall unite in fellowship. All His rich fountain of blessings opened unto us, eating and drinking on His table, as He eats and drinks on our table! A-a-amen! Hallelujah! Glory to His name! That is paradise.
“Then with that salt, the fire spreads upon the fat cattle and melts and then their salty sweet savours flow heavenward. The most high smells of our savoury offerings and descends with all heaven upon us! What convocation then! What a feast day then! All of Him in us and all of us in Him, eating and drinking! He imparts all the strength of His virtues, and all heavenly blessings fills our hearts. His house is full of worship, prayers and songs. You have never seen a Pentecostal meeting since the foundation of the world! There it is! All restoration takes place then. Healed, restored, strengthened we return to the fields again to serve Him in upholding His commandments. And the cycle repeats. A-a-amen!
“O WHAT a wonderful, wonderful day,
Day I will never forget,
After I wondered in darkness away,
Jesus my Saviour I met;
O what a tender compassionate Friend,
He met the need of my heart,
Shadows dispelling, with joy I am telling
He made all the darkness depart.
“Heaven came down and glory filled my soul,
When at the cross the Saviour made me whole;
My sins were washed away, and my night was turned to day,
Heaven came down and glory filled my heart.
“Now I’ve a hope that will surely endure,
After the passing of time;
I have a future in Heaven for sure,
There in those mansions sublime:
And it’s because of that wonderful day,
When at the cross I believed,
Riches eternal and blessings supernal,
From His precious Hand I received.
“To desire and seek for something else besides what God has provided is adulterous! A heart that can’t be satisfied by God’s provided way, God’s Word, God’s Spirit, God’s love, God’s goodness and kindness, God’s mercies and grace, God’s virtues, etc., is an evil, wicked heart full of adultery, fornication and whoredom! Such a heart should be circumcised!
“A heart that seeks satisfaction outside God’s Word; outside God’s fellowship; outside God’s love; outside God’s blessings; outside God’s heaven; outside God’s provided place of worship; outside God’s provided way, is a heart full of adultery, fornication and whoredom!
“A heart that seeks for refreshment outside what God provides; a heart that seeks for rest outside what the Holy Spirit provides; a heart that abhors the refreshments of the Holy Spirit; a heart that abhors Pentecostal blessings; a heart that is uncomfortable with divine manifestation of the Holy Spirit; a heart that abhors the gifts of tongues, of prophecy and of discernment of spirits, is a heart full of adultery, fornication, whoredom and rebellion!
“A heart that is satisfied by money; a heart that is satisfied by worldly riches; a heart that is appeased with worldly honours; a heart that is appeased with popularity and the fame of men; a heart that seeks lordship over men; a heart that desires to be above others, is an abominable heart full of all kinds of corruption of death! It is an uncircumcised Philistine’s heart!
“A heart that seeks religion instead of God; a heart that seeks knowledge instead of the revelation of Jesus Christ; a heart that forbids prophecy and revelation presuming that the days of revelation are over; a heart that claims that the days of prophets are gone; a heart that claims that God cannot speak anymore by a vindicated prophet today, is an evil, wicked heart full of witchcrafts, idolatry and rebellion!
“A heart whose religion is centred on historical teachings of dead men; a heart whose religion is built on tombs and sepulchres; a heart that is satisfied with what God did yesterday; a heart that promotes the religion of the dead; a heart that makes a religion out of a man of God who is already dead; a heart that hails the glorious past and the sublime future, but rejects what God is presently doing, is a wicked uncircumcised heart full of the vomit of serpents and of every unclean hateful creeping thing!
“God is I AM, not I was! no! never! He is I AM and should be sought for in present tense! The past is only a reference point please! We can’t live by the past! The food that was cooked fifty years ago is already rotten and decayed! You can’t live by that!
“Woe unto you who seek in tombs and sepulchres of the dead for God, the living God! Woe unto you who build the tombs of prophets promoting the acts of death! Woe unto you who staunchly hold on what God did yesterday and rejects what He is doing in your midst today! Woe unto you who build your houses on man’s knowledge and his interpretations which reject what God has promised in this season! For thou shall be cast in outer darkness from whence thou shall weep dolefully with gnashing of teeth.
Yes, Hear Ye Him!
