Following The Leading of the Spirit
1. The Unsearchable Riches
For about seven years, I found the Spirit constraining me to stay and preach in one or two places only, not to move from place to place. I obeyed and preached mainly in three places: First in Bethel, then once in a while in Webuye or Siritanyi. Great messages were preached and stored as food for the sheep in due season.
Wonderful enlargements, expositions, revelations were recorded… The Word of God is an unsearchable treasure!
God is the Word, and as He is infinity and unsearchable, so is His Word. You can never exhaust the Bible Revelation. It’s simply endless. What seems to be obvious scriptures becomes quite a treasure mine when the Spirit takes a hold.
Those who don’t believe in further revelation of the Word of God are quite mistaken. God is the Word and the Word is God! Hallelujah! You can never exhaust it, for as God is eternal so is His Word! Glory to God!
John 1:1 KJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 KJV
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Ephesians 3:8 KJV
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ…
See! God is the Word, and the same is revealed through His son, Jesus Christ. And that Word in Christ being eternal is full of unsearchable riches. You can never reach the ends of that treasure in Jesus, no matter what you do. You can live for a million years, preach every day, and never go an inch beneath the surface of the Word!
Unsearchable riches! Oh, its a wonder! I love it, just to dive into the depth of the revelation of the Word, treasure after treasure unfolding. Oh, what a meal offering! Wine, milk, honey, marrows, going and going.
I pity the dogmatic religious societies who believe revelation ended with their church founder… How miserable Laodiceans they are! Poor, miserable, blind and naked and don’t know it.
As endless as God is, as endless as His revelation is! Amen!
2. Confirmed By Dreams
Recently, I began to feel the urge of moving out, to go from place to place again, preaching the Word.
By the way, I really enjoy preaching the Word as the Gospel of salvation… Oh, it is sweet, sweet, sweet and sweet, to preach the Word under the watering of the Spirit! Hallelujah!
Hosea 6:3 KJV
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
I love and really treasure the showers of the Holy Spirit upon me as I preach the Word as a well-tempered meal. Theological exegesis, without the Spirit, are so boring! I hate them with perfect hatred. Just as dry as Sahara desert are such lessons.
But I love a well-watered garden, an Eden of God today! Oh, that I may drink again from the springs of Eden, crystal clear!
Yep, so I obeyed again the leading of the Spirit and left, seemingly wandering about as He leads.
We left, first to Sang’alo, then to South Gates through Siritanyi. From South Gate we left for Webuye preaching the Gospel light for this hour… Not an old tradition passed on as a fossil in a museum!
Reaching Webuye on a Sunday, after one or two days, I felt definitely led to go to Matete, across river Nzoia. I never told anyone, but kept it to myself until Thursday evening that week, then I mentioned it to one sister… But I continued praying about it.
On Friday evening, we set out for Matete, arriving there, at Brother Pius’s home, at around 7:30 pm. We had a wonderful night fellowship full of testimonies and the preaching of the Word, fresh and true… We went past midnight before breaking off to rest a little.
The following morning, after breakfast, we moved to Brother Desterious’ home and had a wonderful service there.
Brother Desterious testified about having dreamed earlier in the week. And in the dream he had seen some sisters come in his house and he greeted them, and he had noted one of them clearly, that is Sister Faith. And here he was, greeting Sister Faith in his very house, as he had seen it in the dream about five days earlier.
Besides that, his wife, sister Margaret, had also a dream earlier in the week. In the dream she saw that I had visited them, and we met and greeted each other in her house. How joyful she was to see the dream fulfilled after just about five days!
Remember, we had not been in Matete for about ten or more years. Thus, the dreams were quite significant and a confirmation that God had indeed wanted me to start moving about preaching the Gospel.
In their house, I preached a sermon about the Secret of God being with them who fear his name under a sweet inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
Yes, when God leads, you are sure of victory.
I am still on the move, praying waiting for which way I must go next. For I am a pilgrim and a stranger in this world, having no permanent home anywhere, for it can’t be there. All things in this world must waste away, only God’s Word is permanent. So, I build myself on that most sure ground of faith in God’s progressive revelation of His Word…. On and on I go….
