Vegetation of Genesis Chapter One
In the world of Genesis Chapter One, only useful plants, vegetation meant for food were planted. There were no shrubs, thistles, wood, thorns, briars, weeds and such like plants. Grass was food for cattle. Herbs were food for beasts, birds, fish, whales and every creeping thing. Fruit trees and seed from herbs were food for man.
Note that the whole face of the earth was planted with this great store of food. The whole earth was fruitful, not just a small garden as it was in Eden. That is the difference between the two worlds. In the world of Genesis Chapter, only a small part of the earth was fruitful, the rest was barren and desolate.
