How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

2Corinthians 12:4

Hear Ye Him, as speaks again from Heaven.

Paradise comes into view

Revelation 2:7  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

A series of “Hear Ye Him” writings from Paradise point of view, absorbs your mind away into Paradise before you actually reach there. The truth is presented in a moving story where the writer encounters Paradise and converses with the saints who have attained that perfect place.

It is quite challenging, absorbing, captivating and provoking. A section “Hear Ye Him” is posted on weekly basis. It has a total of 17 chapters and more than 60 sections. Make sure you subscribe so as not to miss a post.

Seated upon the hilltop overlooking the village where I was born and raised, and from where I had gathered most of the clay that I was now wrapped in, growing thicker and heavier all the time, I felt so sorry that I was what I was and could do nothing about it. I hated it all! That state that I was forever bound in, condemned, and imprisoned to live and die in it – it was just too much. It was bad, so bad – growing worse and worse all the time. No remedy availed herself. If she was there, then it was beyond my reach; it was beyond my hands, my feet, my eyes, and my ears too. I searched all over but still there was no answer in sight. What must I do?

I surveyed the world covering the earth all around me, and my thoughts were filled with horror, wonder and amazement – all came streaming in like a mighty flood, carrying all before it in terror and dread. What a dilemma!

What was it? Why man’s abode on earth is filled with horrible, ugly, cruel, disgusting scenes? Terrible things happening all time; man against man butchering each other in a manner never witnessed among less lucid beings within the same species. Corrupt deals all over. Wickedness abounds with no signs of going into recession. Everything spells doom on its face, ill-fated to begin with! Why?

Absorbed in such discouraging thoughts, I began to drift away in my mind, something, some power unknown to me, stole me away and set me in the midst of the gospel path. As loud as a clap of thunder, it arrived in my mind, and my ears were tuned into it, that God has the answer, and that answer is Jesus!

Then standing up, I stretched my hands heaven-ward and cried: “Oh Jesus, thou son of the Most High, I believe you, I receive you; you are the answer for me. Pull me out of this dilemma. It is too much. Please, help…”

Then he reached for me by the power of his name, in the power of his blood, through the power of his Spirit. His word touched my soul, so strangely! Heavens reached me at once and set me forward. I received, believed, and by faith I started out, a pilgrim. Whither to? Uh…

Then, then, yes, then I drifted away, and diverting from the norms, I took a completely new bearing – a path on which man’s feet has never trod before. With the loins of my mind firmly girded with reality, my feet shod with the gospel light, upon my head the helmet of salvation, I started; the sword of the Spirit proceeding out of my mouth and the shield of faith in my left hand, and in my right hand a pilgrim’s staff, I urged my feet ahead, crossing valleys and spanning mountains in search of a home where truth dwells. Could I? Quite a venture. Isn’t it? But it was worthy it all. So, I pressed on.

Tired and weary, still I pressed on, being urged forward by the ugly scenes I had turned the back of my mind to, and being drawn forward by the longing for peace, joy, and love in a land without shadows, the shadow of death – at least.

I had decided once and for all, enough was enough… this resolution I had made, no turning back; I would find it before I stop and rest my soul and mind. So, on and on I went, both night and day, without a stop nor a U-turn; fully conscious was I, crossing valleys, crossing rivers, scaling mountains, going through desert storms, blizzards, tornadoes, cold, frost, heat, floods and all, I pressed on.

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Hebrew 11:8-10

As my legs under me were ready to give way, being weary for having carried me for endless days, seemingly, days without number, my eyes caught the sight of a mountain that looked totally different from all that I had scaled. It was as if brightly lid all over, and though quite big high beyond measure, yet it appeared as if it were a story building never before espied by my eyes. I stopped and gazed on. Then started again and stopped once more, many thoughts racing through my bewildered, astonished mind. Again a few more steps forward, then I halted. This I repeated a number of times, the strength of my legs having rekindled a little under a new lease of power. A little closer still and the objects along the slopes of the strange mountain began to take shape, becoming brightly clearer as though in their own light.

Finally, I moved close enough to see some gates, and through the open gates, I could see throngs of a people completely different from myself and from any I had seen in the land of my nativity. With my heart melting with fear, I was about to turn back quickly, guessing what would happen to me if I were taken for their enemy, bitterest. But as I was about to sway my tired frame in a U-turn, some strange boldness from somewhere graced my heart and set my feet forward still, creating in me a resolution not to stop short of discovering exactly who these strangers were. The appearance of their very countenances attracted my heart to go among them, to survey what manner of people they were and how they lived.

Who were they? What of their country? Why the big different between it and that from where I hailed. They were all of a very small stature in comparison with me. I appeared a giant as compared to them, but they were not scared of me… I didn’t notice such a reaction from any, at least. Now, why? How could it be, that me being such a gigantic being in comparison to them, yet they were not scared of me!

The very first thing that struck my heart, as I stood in one of the many gates, was how industrious these people were. It was amazing! I stood at the entrance filled with awe and astonishment, how that such industrious tinny people are part of this creation! Each one was fully in service and that continually. Their business was not a tiresome endeavour, not laborious, but a sweet vocational calling. They did everything with pleasure and leisure in so much that the same was a source of their happiness, refreshment and rejuvenation. I wondered and wondered, asking a hundred and one questions at once, silently. Why? Is this the answer to my dilemma? Has God brought me hither for a lesson? I carefully looked around, but all remained a mystery. Speechless I remained, bewildered I mused on.

“I mean!” I exclaimed in my mind, as my hand instinctively moved through the beard upon my chin, and my eyes reflexively narrowing; (for because of my long journey through the outdoors, I had not found a way of shortening my beard), “Well,” I thought, “am I dreaming, daydreaming, or this is reality?”

My fingers away from my chin, I wrapped my eyes over and again to be sure that it wasn’t an optical illusion spreading before my eyes, as I stood overwhelmed with what was unfolding before my eyes.

“This is a wonderful wonder of all wonders! How industrious are these tinny people! Quite breath-taking! Yet neither do they seem to grow tired nor feel weary in the least. All are strong and health, as health as a bay tree by the streams of water.”

They were all in action, filling the whole mountain with a bloom of activities like the blossoms of late spring, and yet there was no strain or stress of any kind. It was as though a never-ending Christmas fare accompanied with pleasantries in every direction, in every sort, and in every kind.

You know what? The whole mountain that was before me was a house! It was not a volcanic mountain but a building of some sort, yet it looked so natural beyond suspicion. It had plants of all kinds which these tinny people had planted, gardens of gardens abounding all over its sloppy terrain, so much that it could as well be called a mountain of gardens; but within, it was a great story building. The houses within had yards, backyards, and in these the tinny people practiced an advanced form of horticulture never witnessed in the land of my nativity. They leisurely prepared composite substrates, optimized the temperature and humidity, and planted all types of mushrooms, the kind I had never seen. That was one source of their protein delicacies. For all in this holy mountain were herbivorous. No slaying of any kind was admitted among them. They thought it a most barbaric practice only suitable among devils. So, there was no hurting nor destroying seen anywhere in that holy mountain. Very strange!

All around the strange mountain, were small well-constructed gates, befitting the size of the occupants of the strange fortress. Within every hill that made up the mountain, highways abounded in all directions connecting thousands of mansions, stores and palaces. Flyovers connected the hills in such a way that it could amaze the most boasted constructor from the land of my nativity. All houses were within the hills, and every house was directly linked with one or more highways. And what further perplexed me was that all the highways were perfectly alike, all were finished and smooth.

Store houses abounded in every direction. All that was stored in storehouses was food, and the preservation was perfect. The longer the foodstuff stayed the better it tasted. There was no famine among them. Starvation was a strange word. Hurting and harming were a jargon language to them, most barbaric! Evil was not admitted. Sin had no entrance. There you are! So, help me.

    Quite sweet indeed!

I’ve never met one man without sorrow,
    Never looked into eyes, with no pain;
But there’s a land where grief,
    Lord is a stranger,
And joy is the only song they sing!

Amen! I believe this paradise to be that land the singer sings about. No grief, pain and sorrow. All that’s gone forever!

I thank God for these echoes of paradise. They rejuvenates my spiritual longings of the total rest in Christ Jesus, that I always longs for. I always desires to go home where sin doesn’t exist, spiritual deaths and battles ever fought doesn’t exist, a place where God’s simplicity and I becomes one, a place where God’s oceans of love and grace are in plenty!

I thank God for this spiritual journey that God of grace and undescribable love has provided me with to walk on and on until when I’ll soon be reaching that home in glory.

Just pray for more grace, more of God’s love and more of Jesus, my everything.
